RAWCS Vanuatu Project

In 2011, after considerable organisation, guidance and assistance from the RAWCS District 9650 TAFEA project coordinator, a contingent of 7 Walcha Rotary members, 6 partners and one family member ventured to Tanna Island at the southern end of the islands that make up Vanuatu.

Each Rotary team that participates in the TAFEA project continues on from where the previous team left off.

Under team leader, Norm, and his assistant, Steve, the Walcha team completed many projects.

Two separate working groups were possible due to the size and skills of the Walcha contingent.

The hospital and three schools were the focus of activities.

The project agreement ensured that local students learned new skills.
